October 2026 MONTHLY MEETING Monday 12th October

Dear South West Herts u3a members, The next Monthly General Meeting will be held on Monday 12th October and will be held "in person" at the Stanborough Centre 609 St Albans Road, Watford, WD25 9JL with a safely spaced additional room, The Armstrong Hall, for those who do wish to attend but not be closely seated.

Members setting up Interest Group "stalls" in the Stanborough Centre will be given early access.

The general membership will be "scanned in" from 09:15.

The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. with the normal “business” announcements from the Chair followed by any Interest Group announcements.

Following that, at approximately 10:30 a.m., we will have a break for tea, coffee and biscuits.

After the refreshment break, at 11:00 a.m., we will have a presentation by Gary Powell on "Dark Secrets of London Squares" which will include tales of dark history; murder, mayhem, innovation and terrorism from the point of view of an ex-detective. It should be an interesting talk on the subject.

The meeting will end at approximately 12:00 noon.
